One to one workshops can be structured to cover any photographic subjects you wish to concentrate on from the basic camera controls, photographic composition, the use of light and colour, creative use of shutter and aperture, to more specialised areas of photography such as portraiture, studio lighting, wildlife photography, macro photography and product/still life photography.

We would concentrate on tips and techniques relevant to perfecting your skills and knowledge of the area of photography you choose. For landscape photography the Lake Districts offers some of the most fantastic scenery and we can stay lakeside or go for a hike up a fell.

If you are interested in studio and portrait photography you would learn how to set up studio lights and lighting ratios, what type of lighting set-ups suit each particular subject, composition, also what type of background to use.

One-to-one workshops are a mix of theory and practical tuition which means you will have lots of time to to practice each technique yourself and there are always loads of little tips to share.

Participants should bring:

• A Digital SLR camera or bridge camera
• A tripod
• Extra memory cards and spare batteries
• Filters (but I have set available for your use)
• Suitable warm clothing and footwear as the course will still take place in the event of rain if venturing outdoors **
• Lunch and refreshments
