In the early hours of Saturday 6th February 2021 a member of Patterdale Mountain Rescue suffered serious injuries while out rescuing a member of the public from Red Screes above Kirkstone Path.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue are the team that cover Striding Edge and the Helvellyn range. I took this image of Striding Edge from Red Tarn during a special event with Lakeland Mountain Guides who guided a group across the ridge at night. I wanted to make it available again to raise money for the Patterdale Mountain Rescue team.
