Meeting in Grange, deep in the Borrowdale Valley, we walk alongside Holmcrag Wood to meet the River Derwent and our first photo stop.
We then follow the river through Wilkinson’s Dub and the old quarry and caves. Continuing on through the woods we then start our ascent up to Castle Crag, where there are many photo opportunities along the way, including a view of the summit.
Up through the slate track to the stunning summit of Castle Crag and its views of Borrowdale and Derwentwater. We leave Castle Crag and follow Broadstack Gill and head back to Grange. If time allows we can pop over to the Bowderstone too.
